Question1. What is the difference between heat transfer and mass transfer?
Answer: Heat transfers are due to temp differences (high temperature to low temperature).
There are three types of heat transfers-
Whereas mass transfers are due to concentration differences (for example suppose that some portion of the room have a high concentration of a gas and the other portion have a low concentration. here the gas slowly diffuses from a high concentration area to low concentration area to attain equilibrium).

Answer: Critical pressure ratio is the pressure ratio where the flow is accelerated to a velocity equal to the local velocity of sound in the fluid. Critical pressure is used to determine the maximum gas flow through a nozzle.
Question3. What are the two essential conditions of perfect gas?
Answer: It satisfies the equation of state and its specific heats are constant.
Question4. Define Dropwise Condensation.
Answer: Dropwise condensation is a process occurs when a vapor condenses on a surface not wetted by the condensate. The liquid collects in the form of countless droplets of varying diameters on the condensing surface, instead of forming a continuous film, and does not wet the solid cooling surface.
Question5. Why the rate of condensation is higher on a polished surface compared to rusty surface?
Answer: Rate of Condensation is higher on a polished surface due to Dropwise Condensation. Polished surface promotes Dropwise Condensation and does not wet the surface.
